Reflections on birth, life, and everything in between.
Hi, I’m Ify a midwife, mother, wife, storyteller, and lifelong student of the sacred and the ordinary.
Musings of a Baby Catcher is my space to pause, breathe, and reflect on the beauty, chaos, and mystery of life—from the birth room to the quiet moments at my kitchen table.
Thanks for being here. I’d love for you to stay a while, read a few posts, and maybe subscribe to walk this journey with me.
Who we are
For years, I’ve had the profound privilege of witnessing life at its very beginning. As a “baby catcher” (a tender nickname midwives have long embraced), I’ve stood in the sacred space between strength and surrender, pain and power, breath and new beginnings. But there’s so much more that shapes me beyond the delivery suite.
Here, I write about everything that touches my world:
💫 The sacred work of midwifery
💬 Honest reflections on womanhood, faith, and identity
💞 The quiet lessons of marriage and motherhood
🌿 Healing, hope, burnout, balance, and becoming
📖 And the small, ordinary moments that often hold the deepest truths
I’m not here to offer perfection or polished answers. Just musings—words from the heart of a woman learning, loving, unravelling, and growing every day. My hope is that something you read here feels like a deep breath or a warm “me too.”
